Massive fire breaks out at Super 8

A massive blaze broke out at a motel in San Bernardino, sending several guests scrambling for safety Thursday evening.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department said the fire sparked at the motel located in the 200 block of Hospitality Lane at about 10 p.m.

Fire officials said the fire began in brush near the motel. Two buildings at the motel caught on fire and the damage appeared to be extensive.

Both buildings were occupied by guests, according to fire officials.

Dramatic video obtained by ABC7 captured guests running to their vehicles to escape to safety. Some guest were heard screaming to wake others to alert them to evacuate the motel.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
