Donald Trump unfit to have finger on nuclear trigger 

Hillary Clinton has warned that Donald Trump is not fit to have his finger on America’s nuclear trigger as she shifted to a new populist line of attack against the presumed Republican presidential candidate.

“This is not someone who should ever have the nuclear codes,” she said, warning that the world will be “less safe” if Mr Trump becomes president.

In a major speech on foreign policy that rapidly degenerated into an ad hominem attack on Mr Trump, the Democrat front-runner said her opponent was “dangerous” and “unfit to be president”.

She lambasted the billionaire property developer and TV host for undermining relationships with European allies, supporting nuclear proliferation, and being too friendly to North Korea.

Advisers to Mrs Clinton said it was the start of what would be a sustained attack between now and the Nov 8 election in which the former Secretary of State would contrast her international experience with her rival’s lack of it.

In his “America First” foreign policy Mr Trump has criticised Nato as obsolete and too costly for the United States, suggested Japan and North Korea should have nuclear weapons, vowed to ban foreign Muslims from the United States, and sais he would sit down with Kim Jong-un.
